chodoは鎌倉の工房にて、設計から製作までを一貫して行う「工房一体型」のデザインスタジオです。「リサーチと創造力が生み出すアイデア」と「制作現場での発見」をもとに、生活に根差した家具・調度品を製作しています。
chodoは素材、空間、文脈、歴史といったモノの周りにある「関係性」を大切にしています。「関係性」を紡ぎながら生み出すプロダクトは、人と空間の繋がりを育み、新しい体験をもたらします。
人・環境・プロダクトが相互に影響し合い、日常に彩りのある空間体験をもたらすこと。それがchodoの目指しているものです。

An Integrated Studio of Design and Craftsmanship
chodo is a bespoke furniture workshop and design studio based in Japan. Operating from an integrated studio where the workshop and design desk coexist, we create products through a continuous cycle of research, creative ideation, and hands-on experimentation.
While functionality and aesthetics are fundamental, we place equal importance on the “relationships” that surround an object—its material, spatial context, and historical background. By weaving these connections into our designs, we aim to foster new interactions and awareness within everyday life.
Our expertise spans a wide range of scales, from small interior objects and furniture to custom fixtures and architectural spaces. We provide holistic solutions rooted in our dual perspective as both designers and makers.
